Video: Haldi Panna Patholi/Patoli (Turmeric Leaf Dumplings) | Konkani Recipes | Nagara Panchami Special

Patholi is a unique sweet dish. A rice paste is made and spread on the turmeric leaf. It is then layered with coconut - jaggery mixture. The leaf is carefully folded and steamed. Once steamed, the leaves are discarded and Patholi is served with ghee. The leaves imparts a unique flavor to the dish which makes it even more tastier. Ingredients:
Sonamasuri rice - 1 1/4 cup Puffed rice - 1/4 cup Grated coconut - 1/4 cup Salt - 1/2 tsp Water - 2-3 Tbsp Turmeric leaves - 15 For Coconut filling: Grated coconut - 1 1/2 cup Jaggery - 1 cup Water - 2 Tbsp Cardamom pods - 5
